The opening reception for the 2011 Every Victim Matters youth art show was a great success! 230 people attending the reception on Monday evening at Latitude 53 gallery, with another 47 visitors enjoying the exhibition on Tuesday.
The creative and talented youth from iHuman Youth Society gave thought provoking live performances of music, rap and spoken word. Dignitaries in attendance included Councillor Amarjet Sohi and Police Inspector Phil Bailey. Delicious catering provided by Elm Cafe and Duchess Bake Shop ensured that everyone enjoyed themselves!
Our judges had a difficult time choosing winners in the two age categories because of the high level of work presented by the artists involved. After much deliberation the following artists were awarded prizes:
Ages 12-16 Category

3rd Laura Bui
Ages 17-24 Category
1st Jason Tait
2nd Colton Scragg
3rd Jessica Maryniak
